ITI Shikohabad Launches Courses In Electric Vehicles And Additive Manufacturing
These courses, including the Industrial Internet of Think Technicians and Electric Vehicles, will be taught in the Tata Technologies building.

ITI Shikohabad, one of the recently constructed government industrial training centres in Firozabad, has commenced new courses for the candidates. According to Local 18 Uttar Pradesh, these courses, including the Industrial Internet of Think Technicians and Electric Vehicles, will be taught in the Tata Technologies building. Through this course, the students will get training in operating electric vehicles required for additive manufacturing technicians. An Additive Manufacturing Technician (3D. Printing) is responsible for designing and programming products, ranging from prosthetic products to 3D miniatures. These courses are applicable for the students who have cleared their high school (class 10th). The last date to apply for the above positions is August 4. All applications for this course will be submitted online only. Candidates need to file separate applications for different courses.

Neha Bajpai, the principal of the ITI, revealed more about these courses. According to the principal, initially, there will be long-term courses with time durations ranging from 1 to 2 years. Applications for long-term courses have been started in the first phase. At the same time, the principal said that three courses will be conducted in Shikohabad and Anandpur Jarkhi, Tundla, Uttar Pradesh.

According to the principal, the students will also be able to secure admission in other courses which include the advanced CNC plumber, manufacturing and other courses. These courses will be taught in Tundla Anandpur Jarkhi. For the time being, the courses at this university will also last for 1 and 2 years. The Principal further said that applications are being sought for other courses as well at Government Industrial Training Institutes.

What is an Industrial Training Institute?

ITI, an Industrial Training Institute, is a training institution run by the government. It is in charge of offering high school students and graduates training relevant to the industry. Admission to the various trades of ITI/ITC is completed every year in August. The ITI Admission Procedure is started before the commencement of the new session. Sessions under this scheme start from 1 August. Under the NCVT (National Council for Vocational Training) guidelines admission in ITIs is made on merit based/written examination. Admission to private ITIs is done directly.
