The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi has released the Joint Admission Test (JAM) 2025 exam date. As per the official website, the IIT JAM 2025 will take place on February 2, 2025. The IIT JAM 2025 information brochure, will shortly be issued on the official website, jam2025.iitd.ac.in, which will include eligibility requirements, syllabus, examination fee, test pattern, marking scheme, and more.

This year, the IIT JAM 2025 application process will tentatively start in September 2024 and will end in October 2024. The fee payment and correction of the application form are set to happen by November 2024. Whereas the admit will be released a month before the exam that is on January 2024. Candidates are thus required to check the official website daily for any latest date announcement by the exam authority.

This year the exam is set to happen on 2 February 2025. The exam will be held in two sessions The morning session will consist of papers like Chemistry (CY), Geology (GG), and Mathematics (MA). Furthermore, in the afternoon session, there will be papers on Biotechnology (BT), Economics (EN), and Mathematical Statistics (MS).

IIT Delhi JAM 2025: Eligibility Criteria

Candidates are eligible to sit for JAM 2025 if they have either finished or will be appearing in their qualifying degree’s final exam in 2025. Candidates who meet the qualifying requirements for JAM 2025 are eligible to apply for admission, which will include the following requirements:

(a) Candidates must complete all coursework before the admission date of the relevant admitting institute

(b) Candidates must submit proof of passing the qualifying degree and meet the eligibility requirements within the timeframe given by the relevant admitting institute.

The JAM 2025 will consist of seven computer-based test papers covering the following subjects: mathematics, statistical statistics, physics, biotechnology, chemistry, economics, and geology. The test will be administered in about 100 Indian cities. Admission will be granted based on the availability of seats, the Government of India’s reservation policy, and the All India Rank (AIR) in each of the JAM 2025 test papers.

The JAM exam is held annually to select candidates for approximately 3,000 postgraduate seats in the following programmes: MSc, MSc (Tech), MSc-MTech Dual Degree, MS (Research), Joint MSc-PhD, and MSc-PhD Dual Degree offered by the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), National Institutes of Technology (NITs), and Indian Institute of Engineering, Science, and Technology (IIEST) Shibpur.
