The GSEB class 10 exams and class 12 exams for Science, General Stream, Vocational, and Sanskrit medium students will go on till April 26, 2024

The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSHSEB) is slated to commence the class 10 and class 12 board exams 2024 from today, March 11. The GSEB class 10 exams and class 12 exams for Science, General Stream, Vocational, and Sanskrit medium students will go on till April 26, 2024. The exams will continue for almost 15 days. The Class 10 and 12 science exams will end on March 22, while Class 12 general stream exams will finish on March 26.

The SSC exams will take place in the morning session from 10 am to 1:15 pm. The GSEB HSC science board exams for 2024 are scheduled to start on March 11, beginning with Sahkar Panchayat and Namanam Muḷa Tatvo papers. The exams will be conducted in two shifts: the morning shift from 10:30 am to 1:45 pm and the afternoon shift from 3 pm to 6:15 pm.

Students are advised to reach the exam centres 30 minutes before the commencement of the GSEB exams. Before entering the exam centres assigned to them, candidates must carry a print out of admit card downloaded collected from their schools. Mobile phones, laptops, Bluetooth speakers, and earphones are not permitted inside the test venue.

Among the key modifications announced by the Gujarat board regarding the GSEB classes 10 and 12 board exams 2024 include a hike of 10 per cent in objective questions from 20 to 30 per cent. The share of descriptive questions on the other hand has declined from 30 to 20 per cent. Furthermore, class 12 science students can appear in either one or all of the supplementary exams, to be held in June/July. Among these, the best of the two exam results will be considered by the Gujarat board.

In 2023, out of 734,898 students who took the Gujarat board class 10 exam, 474,893 students successfully cleared it, resulting in a pass rate of 64.62 per cent. The overall pass rate for the HSC general stream last year was 73.27 per cent, and for the science stream, it was 65.58 per cent.
