CTET January 2024 Answer Key to Release Soon, When & Where to Check

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will issue the answer key and response sheet of the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) January 2024 exam soon. Once it is released, candidates can download it from the official website at ctet.nic.in. The CTET 2024 exam was conducted by the board on January 21. The Central Teacher Eligibility Test was held in 3,418 test centres in 135 cities across India. The answer key allows candidates to estimate their scores and determine their chances of qualifying.

Those who are unhappy with the provisional answer key can file objections for a fee of Rs 1,000 per question. If the objection is found to be valid, a policy decision will be made and the fee refunded. In addition, every correct answer is worth one mark, and there is no penalty for incorrect responses. Candidates will have to score a minimum of 60 per cent marks (55 per cent for reserved categories) to pass the exam.

CBSE has stated that all challenges submitted by candidates will be thoroughly reviewed by experts. If the subject experts find any errors and accept the challenges, the board will make a policy decision, and the fees for successful challenges will be refunded.

CTET January 2024: Steps To Download Provisional Answer Key

Step 1: Go to the official website atctet.nic.in

Step 2: On the homepage, look for and click on the “CTET 2024 provisional answer key” link, when activated.

Step 3: On the new page, enter the application number and date of birth to log in. Then click on submit.

Step 4: The CTET 2024 provisional answer key will appear on the screen.

Step 5: Check and download the CTET January 2024 answer key.

The board has also announced that candidates will receive digital marksheets and eligibility certificates via DigiLocker, just like they have in the past. It is part of the board’s resolution towards the ‘Green initiative’. The marksheets and certificates will feature an encrypted QR code that can be scanned and verified with the DigiLocker mobile app. This action has been taken for security reasons.

As per the CBSE, close to 27 lakh candidates were registered for the CTET January examination, which includes around 9.58 lakh for paper 1 (Class 1-5) and around 17.35 lakh registered for paper 2 (Class 6-8).The CTET exam consists of two question papers: Paper-1 is used to determine teacher eligibility for classes 1 through 5, and Paper-2 is used to determine teacher eligibility for classes 6 to 8.
