As many as 700 undergraduate seats are still vacant at Banaras Hindu University (BHU). The varsity will conduct a mop-up round counselling to fill the remaining seats, registrations for which have begun. The last date to register for the mop-up round is October 6. Interested and eligible candidates can apply by visiting the Samarth portal, bhucuet.samarth.edu.in.
Students must enter their preferences on the mop-up round counselling application forms. After registration for the mop-up round, the university’s central admission committee will allot seats as per the students’ preferences. This process will be similar to the spot round. This will be applicable to those UG courses which involve practicals.
In the mop-up round, admission will be given only in practical courses of UG. Students should have passed practical subjects in 12th to be eligible to apply for this round. Candidates who had registered for BHU UG admission earlier but were not allotted any seats can participate in the mop-up round.
BHU UG Mop up Round 2024: Documents Required
Applicants must upload the following documents during the registration process:
— Class 10 mark sheet and certificates
— Class 12 mark sheet and certificates
— Caste Certificate
— Photographs of the candidate
— Scanned Signature of the candidate
Steps to apply for BHU UG Mop Up Round 2024:
Step 1: Go to the official website, bhu.ac.in.
Step 2: After reaching the homepage, look for the Mop Up Round counselling link and click on it.
Step 3: Next up, enter your login credentials and click on submit.
Step 4: Fill in the application form, submit all the documents and pay the fees.
Step 4: Enter your preferences of College and Courses for the Mop up Round counselling.
Step 5: Submit and take a hard copy of the application form for future reference.
Students who wish to appear for the BHU UG 2024 mop-up round counselling are required to pay a non-refundable fee of Rs 500. In case a candidate fails to pay the fees, the admission will stand cancelled.
Meanwhile, more than 500 PG seats are still vacant at Banaras Hindu University even after the mop-up round. The admission process for PG classes in the university has now been closed.
