India batting sensation Virat Kohli’s fun meeting with former NBA player John Starks has become the talk of the town. The two met ahead of India’s high-voltage face-off between India and Pakistan. They were joined by Yuvraj Singh. Upon meeting Starks, Kohli asked if it was the first-ever cricket match that he attended. Kohli even went on to ask if Starks understood the game of cricket. Starks replied by saying that he was being taught by Yuvraj. “I do. Getting taught by the best,” Starks said. Referring to India’s World Cup-winning cricketer Yuvraj Singh’s sensational skills, Virat Kohli remarked, “Best swing in the game. That’s why he plays golf as well now.”

The official social media handle of the NBA shared a video of Yuvraj and Kohli’s heartwarming meeting with Starks. “Virat Kohli and Yuvraj Singh welcome John Starks to the T20 World Cup,” read the post shared by NBA.

In another video shared by the NBA, Yuvraj Singh can be seen introducing ace Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah to John Starks. Bumrah curiously asked Starks, “Have you ever seen a cricket game before?”

Responding to the Indian fast bowler’s query, the former New York Knicks player said, “First time, first time live.” Bumrah even went on to explain that cricket is “bit like baseball but a little faster. As simple as that.”

Sharing a video of the meet, NBA posted, “Yuvraj Singh introduces John Starks to Jasprit Bumrah ahead of India vs Pakistan at the T20 World Cup.”

Reacting to the posts, a fan commented, “Good to see cricket is penetrating in West countries.”

Coming back to the T20 World Cup, India clinched a thrilling six-run victory against Pakistan to win two matches on the trot in the competition. Indian batters did not have a promising outing as the side bowled out for 119 against Pakistan.

Defending a small total at the Nassau County in New York, Indian bowlers came up with a phenomenal display to earn a win. Jasprit Bumrah picked up three wickets conceding just 14 runs in his four overs. Pakistan managed to reach 113 in 20 overs.
