Indian spinner Ravichandran Ashwin picked up the wicket of English opener Zak Crawley to reach the 500-wicket milestone in his Test career at the third Test in Rajkot on Friday.

Fans from all over the world sent him their wishes on the achievement that makes him the second Indian bowler to go across the 500 mark after the legendary Anil Kumble.

Legendary batsman Sachin Tendulkar shared a post that read, “500 Test wickets for a one-in-a-million bowler! In AshWIN the SpinNER, there was always a WINNER. 500 wickets is a huge milestone in Test cricket. Congratulations, Champion!”

Team India won the toss and opted to bat first as Rohit Sharma and Ravindra Jadeja came up with centuries, 131 and 112 respectively, while debutants Sarfaraz Khan and Dhruv Jurel added 62 runs and 46 runs to help India get to 445 runs in the first innings before being bundled out.
