Actor, director, choreographer and producer Raghava Lawrence’s recently released film Chandramukhi 2 did not work well at the box office. Now, he is gearing up for his next titled Jigarthanda Double X. Recently, the actor attended an event organised for Jigarthanda on Monday, October 9. During the event, he spoke to his fans and told them to not join his film functions, as he did not want to encroach upon their time. Raghava Lawrence said: “I have learnt that my fans are feeling bad for not inviting them to my film functions. I will neither assign responsibilities nor invite you to my film functions, for I do not wish to encroach upon your time. I, too, was a fan before I became a star. So, I know how much you will have to spend to attend these events. I won’t encourage you and then give you a picture to make you happy.
Raghava Lawrence further added, “You spend a lot on bus fare, hotels, and food. Please spend that money on your parents. Spend your time on your work. I will not use you.”
He concluded his speech by adding that his fans are already helping him a lot by watching his film, as the money they invest to buy tickets for the movie ultimately reaches them and any further inconvenience and spending money for him is not the right choice. He ended by saying, “If you stay at home and wish for five minutes that my film must become a hit, that is more than enough for me.”
At the event, the first single of Jigarthanda Double X Maamadura was released on YouTube. The upcoming Tamil film, which is a period action and comedy-drama, is directed by Karthik Subbaraj. The production is done by Kaarthekeyen Santhanam, Alankar Pandian, and S Kathiresan. Besides Raghava, the film will also feature SJ Suryah in the lead role.
