Co-Optex Opens New Store In TN's Chengalpattu With Amazing Offers
Co-Optex has already started selling new and diverse silk sarees, including Kanchipuram silk, Arani, and Thirubhuvanam silk sarees for Diwali.

In a bid to usher in the festive spirit and promote the rich tradition of handloom products, the Co-optex Diwali sale shop, near Chengalpattu in the serene town of Manikoondu, saw a grand inauguration ceremony. The event, graced by the esteemed presence of the District Revenue Officer, not only marked the commencement of the Diwali sale but also showcased a genuine interest in the pricing of sarees and handloom treasures.

This year, new and diverse silk sarees, including Kanchipuram silk, Arani, and Thirubhuvanam silk sarees, are now on sale for Diwali. Additionally, there’s a loan option available for both government and private employees. To further facilitate the public, a monthly savings plan has been introduced, to encourage customers to become loyal patrons of Co-Optex.

To attract customers this year, a wide range of clothing options are on display. You can find Coimbatore and Chettinad cotton sarees, Salem silk vests, Bhawanisamutram men’s shirts and vests, as well as blankets, curtain sarees, and cuties available at the outlets.

For the past 88 years, Co-Optex, a cooperative organization under the Tamil Nadu government, has been actively sourcing and showcasing the products crafted by handloom weavers in Tamil Nadu. These products are distributed through Co-Optex outlets all over India, contributing to the sustained employment of weavers in the region.

Co-Optex participates in the Tamil Nadu government’s annual Diwali sale scheme, offering a generous 30 per cent discount to benefit its customers. During this special sale, you can find a wide range of items, including Coimbatore soft silk sarees with new designs, silk sarees from Kanchipuram, Salem, Arani, and Thiruphuvanam, Coimbatore cotton sarees, Korai Nadu sarees, hand-dyed cotton sarees, linen sarees, as well as blankets and bedspreads sourced from weavers across various regions of Tamil Nadu.

On Tuesday, the Trichy Potikai Co-Optex outlet commenced its special Diwali discount sale with an opening ceremony. The event was graced by the presence of Tamil Nadu Municipal Administration Minister KN Nehru, who inaugurated the first sale. District Collector Pradeep Kumar and other Administrative Officers from Trichy were also in attendance.

Last Diwali season, the Trichy Bodhikai outlet achieved sales of 13.80 lakhs, and this year, they’ve set an ambitious target of 30.00 lakhs ahead of the Diwali festival. Furthermore, Co-Optex is introducing a savings plan known as the Co-Optex Monthly Savings Plan for its customers.
