New Delhi: The government has put all dealings with Italian firm Finmeccanica on hold. A circular says that all procurements with Finmeccanica and its affiliates have been suspended.
The move comes after Finmeccanica settled the AgustaWestland VVIP chopper deal case in Italy. The Indian government move means arms deals worth Rs 30,000 crore will be on hold now.
Finmeccanicca had been accused of paying kickbacks for supplying 12 VVIP choppers to the Indian Air Force.
