While Rashmika Mandanna is currently basking on the success of her recently released film Animal, she is looking forward to working with Dhanush on her next film. The untitled project will also star Nagarjuna Akkineni in the lead role. The actress recently expressed her excitement for the upcoming collaboration.
While speaking to Pinkvilla, she shared, “I always wanted to work with Dhanush sir so much because I feel like he is a performer to the core, and I feel like when you work with such amazing performers, you have to improve and you will improve, and I’m excited that I know I’m going to learn a lot from him.”
She further added, “I know I’m going to pick up a lot and get better at my craft, and Sekhar sir is directing it, and the story that he has told me made me feel like I really have to be part of this. I really want to tell this story. So, yeah, it’s exciting; we’re starting to in the next month, and I look forward to it.”
While she gears up for D51, Rashmika also has Pushpa 2 in the pipeline. The actress will be reprising her iconic role of Srivalli in the film, which is headlined by Allu Arjun. Written and directed by Sukumar, Pushpa: The Rise was released in 2021 and turned out to be a blockbuster. The action drama dealt with red sandalwood smuggling.
Apart from this, Rashmika Mandanna also has her next Bollywood film, Chaava, with Vicky Kaushal. The film is a period drama based on the real-life character Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj.
Coming back to her last film, Animal, the actress shared the screen space with Rambir Kapoor for the same. Helmed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, the film turned out to be a huge blockbuster at the ticket window.
With rich content-driven and commercial films to her credit, Rashmika Mandanna has come a long way. Having proved her mettle both in Bollywood and in South Industry, she is now one of the most bankable stars in showbiz.
