Ananya Panday is currently basking in the success of her recently released film, Kho Gaye Hum Kahan. Earlier last year, during the film’s promotions, the actress revealed that Jackie Shroff randomly texted her ‘Bhidu.’ However, after the actress responded, the actor never replied back. Now, the veteran star has opened up about sending her that message on Instagram.
In conversation with Humans of Bombay, Jackie was asked about sending a one-word message to Ananya over Instagram DM, to which the actor replied, “It was just to let her know that I am always there. Mere dost ka baccha hai. (She is my friend’s kid.) All these kids are my friends. Their fathers aren’t my friends. They were at one time.”
He then added that these kids go to these parties, and even though he enjoys partying with them, their fathers don’t party. “Jitne bhi bhidu hai mere, they don’t think that some relic is coming, some dinosaur is coming. They accept me. I am at their level. My childhood hasn’t gone away. Mera bachpana nahi gaya hai,” Jackie added.
Ananya Panday’s performance in Kho Gaye Hum Kahan earned her rave reviews from fans, critics, and fellow actors. Speaking exclusively with News18, Ananya said, “After watching this film, Alia (Bhatt) and Mrunal (Thakur) called, and Kriti (Sanon) messaged me. I think it’s just an outside perception that women don’t support each other. But I’ve only encountered supportive female friends. I’ve done many two-girl films. I’ve worked with Tara (Sutaria), Bhumi (Pednekar), and Deepika (Padukone), and I’ve only had wonderful experiences with them.”
“After the release, the entire team felt so proud and happy. I celebrated it by disconnecting a little bit. I think that’s the best way to celebrate a film like this. I rebooted, reflected on my life, and spent time with my tribe. That was how I paid ode to the film,” Ananya added.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Ananya Panday will be next seen in Control and Call My Bae.
