Hema Malini Spotted At The Airport Ahead Of Her Performance On Ram Mandir Inauguration Day

Veteran actress Hema Malini, also a trained classical dancer, will put up a special performance on the Ramayana during the Ram temple inauguration in Ayodhya on January 22. The event, attended by celebrities from various fields, will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. For the same, Hema Malini flew to Ayodhya on Friday as she was papped outside the Mumbai airport.

In a video that was shared by the popular paparazzo handle Filmymantra media, Hema Malini can be seen arriving at the airport in a car. She opted for a simple peach coloured suit and dupatta that had some intricate designs. She kept her makeup minimal and carried a bag in her hand. Before entering the airport premises, Hema Malini posed for the paparazzi and waved at them. The clip soon went viral on social media.

Meanwhile, Hema Malini performed a mesmerising Ramayana dance in Ayodhya on January 17, ahead of the grand inauguration. Alongside Vishal Nayak, she left the audience in awe with their performance, portraying Sita and Ram respectively. Pictures from the event are now circulating on the internet.

Speaking about the performance, Hema Malini told ANI, “This programme has been organised by Swami Rambhadracharya. He has organised a 10-day programme. I am fortunate to be here during this time. The whole of Bollywood is ‘Ramamay’. The artists are singing Ram songs. I also sang a Ram Bhajan last year. Everybody is preparing everything on Ram.”

When asked if there should be a Krishna temple at Krishna Janmasthal in Mathura as well, Hema Malini said, as quoted by Mid Day “It should definitely be there. Mathura and Vrindavan are cities with temples. The ‘Janmashtal’ is Lord Krishna’s place… There is a beautiful temple.”

The idol of Lord Ram Lalla will be installed at the grand Ayodhya temple after the consecration ceremony on January 22, 2024 and many Bollywood celebs have been invited for the same. Many A-listers from different industries are also called to attend the consecration ceremony, including , Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Virat Kohli, Anushka Sharma, Ayushmanna Khurrana Kangana Ranaut, Amitabh Bachchan, among others.

The rituals will continue until January 21, and on the consecration day, only essential ceremonies for Pran Pratishtha will take place, as per Ram temple trust officials. The Pran Pratishtha for the Ram temple is scheduled to start at 12:20 pm on January 22 and is expected to conclude by 1 pm.
