Director Siddharth Anand’s latest film, Fighter, has been earning rave reviews from fans, critics, and the audience. The Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone starter aerial action film has been getting an overwhelming response, even from the box office. According to reports, it has minted nearly Rs. 118 crore already. Amid the excitement around the film, the director has shared an update about his upcoming films.
Speaking about how he wants to expand his production house, Marflix, the director told Pinkvilla, “I think the idea is to make some good action films here. That’s a space I think I found my calling in. We’re starting out, and we have some decent fun films. So hopefully you’ll see some fun action films coming out of Marflix.”
When asked if Siddharth will be announcing a lot of films soon, he said, “Not lots. Some of them. I don’t believe in quantity. We are actually like a small boutique production house where I want to put all my energy and effort into any film we are doing. Like right now, we are doing a fun action film with Saif Ali Khan and Jaideep Ahlawat. It’s a quirky film, and all my energy is directed towards that.”
It was earlier reported that Siddharth Anand and Saif Ali Khan will be collaborating on a heist film. The thriller film will feature the actor racing against time for a rescue operation. Jaideep Ahlawat will reportedly play the antagonist in the film.
As for Fighter, News18 gave the film a 4-star rating and the review read, “Phenomenally entertaining and consistently engaging, Fighter, for all the derivative genre components it compiles, is an action entertainer that crackles with energy.” The action film was released on January 25 and also features Anil Kapoor, Karan Singh Grover and Sanjeeda Sheikh in key roles.
