Mannara Chopra lost the Bigg Boss 17 trophy to Munawar Faruqui. The actress was among the Top 3 finalists but had to settle for the second runner-up spot. Many were rooting for her win, including her cousin, actress Priyanka Chopra. As soon as she walked out of the Bigg Boss house, Mannara expressed her gratitude to Priyanka for her support. She told News18 exclusively that she’s extremely happy to receive Priyanka’s support.
When asked if she had spoken to Priyanka before entering the BB House, she shared, “No, we didn’t really speak with each other. I was in the US for a shoot, and after returning to India, I immediately landed in the Bigg Boss house." She added, “As soon as I sit in the car, I will message her. And if she’s free, I’ll talk to her, and I will thank her."

Earlier, while speaking to the media after the grand finale, Mannara expressed her heartfelt thanks to her ‘PeeCee Didi’. She shared, “Thank you, PeeCee Didi, for supporting me. Aapne mujhe support kara, iska matlab maine kahi na kahi apni personality se apni respect bhi rakhi show mein, aur apni family ki bhi. (Since you supported me, it feels like I’ve kept my self-respect intact with my personality.) And loads of love to Malti."
Days before the finale, PeeCee shared a photo of Mannara from Bigg Boss 17 and penned down a motivating note. “Give it your best and forget about the rest. Carpe diem @memannara," she wrote along with a red heart emoji.
Earlier, Priyanka Chopra’s mother, Madhu Chopra, had also shared a strong message for the Bigg Boss 17 contestant. In a video message, Priyanka’s mom said, “Hi Mannara. Congratulations. You have reached one of the finales. I am very proud of you. Stay strong. Keep a strong head on your shoulders, and don’t let them break you. You are one Chopra girl, and you are really strong. Best of luck."

Hailing from Ambala, Mannara Chopra is the cousin of Bollywood divas Parineeti and Priyanka Chopra. Mannara’s mother, who is a jewellery designer by profession, is the sister of Parineeti and Priyanka’s fathers. While Mannara’s father is a lawyer, she also has a younger sister named Mitali. She has worked in several Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, and Kannada films.
The Bigg Boss 17 finale was held on January 28, 2024. Munawar Faruqui emerged as the winner of Salman Khan’s show.
