Automobile major Tata Motors said it would display six new construction and mining commercial vehicles from its 'Construck' range at EXCON-2017, South East Asia's largest construction equipment exhibition, starting here tomorrow.
Speaking to reporters here, Rajesh Kaul, company's sales and marketing head for medium and heavy commercial vehicles, said the six vehicles would be displayed at the five day event. Tata Motors will introduce first of its kind fourth generation Ultimaax suspension system for the HCV heavy-duty tipper range, he said.
"The Ultimaax suspension has been developed jointly by Tata Motors Ltd., along with Hendrickson Inc, a Joint Venture partner of Tata Autocomp Ltd., and a world leader in suspension systems for commercial vehicles," said Kaul.
As many as 928 companies across 21 countries are participating in EXCON-2017. There will be five official international 'Pavilions' from China, Germany, Italy, SouthKorea and the United Kingdom.
The event is being organised by Confederation of Indian Industries with support from the Indian Construction Equipment Manufacturer Association and Builders Association of India.
The event will be inaugurated tomorrow by Union Minister for Heavy Industries and Public Sector Enterprises Anant G Geete in the presence of Karnataka Minister for Medium and Heavy Industries R V Deshpande and CEO of NITI Ayog, Amitabh Kant. J Immanuel Mahesh Kumar, General Manager CII, Chennai, said "We expect participation of at least 40,000 visitors during our show."
