In a groundbreaking move, Google Maps is gearing up to release another update, which will benefit all EV owners. It has been reported by the Califorfonia-based tech giant that the platform will soon display the nearest EV charging stations globally.
The report also suggested that the upcoming feature will be AI-powered summaries. This will allow the customers to have full descriptions about the station, and reviews by customers, and will offer precise step-by-step directions towards the same.
Another Big Update
To contribute to the growing EV segment, Google Maps is also working on offering nearby chargers directly on in-car maps. With the help of the upcoming update, customers will be able to know about the real-time port availability, and charging speed capabilities among other details.
It has been informed that the update will be released globally, aiming to facilitate the vehicles that are equipped with Google’s built-in systems.
Current Offerings
Meanwhile, the platform has already rolled out an advanced feature called EV filter to google.com/travel. This makes it easy for EV customers to identify when which hotels and stays are equipped with in-built sharing stations.
