Italian motorcycle manufacturing company Ducati has collaborated with Van Orton to introduce a special edition kit for Scrambler Icon in the global market.
Van Orton is a popular Italian design house that is run by Stefano and Marco. Their artwork style and designs have been inspired by the pop culture of the 1980s and 1990s.
It has been reported that Ducati will only be making 50 units of this special edition motorbike. It is said to have only cosmetic changes and no major mechanical changes. The bike is designed with a burst of colours, reminiscent of stained glass and kaleidoscopic shapes.
The Ducati Scrambler Icon Van Orton edition comes with a front mudguard, headlight surrounds, tank panels, side panels, and tail section that contrast beautifully with the base colour of the bike.
The distinctive hues of the motorcycle are a treat for the eyes for people who love such colours. The bike maker has launched just 50 units of this special edition bike. The cover kit can be ordered through authorised Ducati dealerships. It will be delivered with a certificate of authenticity and some extra stickers. In terms of its cost, it will be available at €690, i.e., Rs 65,000.
In terms of its features and specs, there have not been any major additions as compared to the standard Scrambler. The Scrambler Icon Van Orton is also powered by an 803-cc L-twin engine that makes 73 bhp at 8,250 rpm and 65.2 Nm at 7,000 rpm and pairs with a 6-speed transmission gear box.
The chassis of the bike is a steel trellis unit suspended by 41mm up-side-down forks and a monoshock made by Kayaba. The bike rides on an 18-inch front and 17-inch rear wheel, while braking duties are taken care of by a 330mm disc at the front and a 245mm disc at the rear. The bike also contains a number of electronic features, like ride modes, traction control, and ABS.
In the Indian market, the Ducati Scrambler Icon comes in three variants: Icon, Full Throttle, and Nightshift. The Ducati Scrambler Icon is priced at Rs 10.39 lakh (ex-showroom), while the Full Throttle and Nightshift are priced at Rs 12 lakh (ex-showroom).
