Police have ramped up traffic arrangements in Gujarat’s Ahmedabad ahead of the much anticipated World Cup 2023 league match between rivals India and Pakistan.
The match will be played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad beginning at 1:30 pm.
Ahmedabad Police issued an advisory to help decongest the traffic in the city on match days.

- Drones have been deployed near the venue to keep an eye on anti-social elements. These drones can fly for over 12 hours and at 120 m height and will cover an area worth 5 kilometers around the stadium

- Over 11,000 security personnel, including Gujarat Police, NSG, RAF, and home guards among others will be deployed in Ahmedabad and at the Narendra Modi Stadium.
- Four teams of Chetak Commandos with armoured vehicles, cybercrime teams, crime branch and economic offences wing will also be deployed at the stadium.
- Ahmedabad crime branch, Anti-Terrorist Squad and Special Operations Group will be deployed in the city to ensure security.
- Four senior IPS officers of the ranks of the inspector general and the deputy inspector general along with 21 deputy commissioner of police (DCP) rank officers will supervise and guide the personnel on the match in Ahmedabad.
