Two earthquakes struck Mizoram on Sunday and Monday, causing damage to houses and cracks on roads at several places

Health Minister Dr Raghu Sharma on Tuesday said that strict action shall be taken against 'negligent' officials after investigating complaints against them.

From Friday to Sunday, 3,000 or more fresh cases were reported per day in the national capital. On Monday, 2,909 cases were recorded.

While Pathnamthitta and Palakkad reported 27 cases each, Alappuzha 19, Thrissur 14, Ernakulam 13, Malappuram 11, Kottayam eight, Kozhikode and Kannur six cases each.

The outpatient department (OPD) services will be available for follow-up patients as of now, but requisite appointments for limited number of new patients will also be given, the statement said.
