Adobe Premiere Pro's New AI Features Make It Easy To Remove Unwanted Sounds In Seconds
Advancements in artificial intelligence by Adobe and the industry at large are progressively simplifying the use of the application. Here's what's new.

If you have been using Adobe Premiere Pro, you know that the company has been adding a bunch of features to the non-linear editing (NLE) application to make the editing process faster and more efficient.

Adobe and the rest of the industry are making advancements in artificial intelligence, and now the popular application is getting support for interactive fade handles. This means users can click and drag to create audio fades. The app is also getting AI-powered audio category tagging, making it easier to sort audio files into dialogue, music, sound effects, and ambient noise.

This gives editors one-click access to different tools for each audio. There are also effect badges that serve as a visual indicator to see which clips have effects.

Furthermore, Adobe has also announced that its current beta feature, which lets users use the AI-powered ‘Enhance Speed’ tool to remove unwanted sound and poor recording, will be available for all Premiere Pro users in February.

“Sound creates meaning, and adds impact to film and video – it has the power to help tell a story, and move us in ways visuals alone cannot,” said Ashley Still, senior vice president and general manager, Adobe Creative Cloud.

She added: “We’re proud to empower filmmakers with new workflows that make editing audio more intuitive, so whether they’re new to audio or experienced pros, Premiere Pro makes it faster and easier to find the perfect tool.”

Adobe has been quite proactive in ensuring that it matches or at least has the same generative AI prowess as its rivals, such as OpenAI and Google. This ensures that users have access to competitive AI-powered tools that make their work easier and faster.
