Not only has the board revised the application date, but it has also postponed the D.El.Ed first and second-year exam dates. As per the new schedule, the first-year exams will now be held from June 1 to June 7, 2024. Additionally, the second-year examinations will be held from May 27 to May 30, 2024. This is a significant change from the initial schedule. As per the original timetable, the first-year examinations were scheduled for July 10 to July 16, and the second-year exams were slated for July 18 to July 22, 2024. The candidates are advised to keep a check on the website for any other updates.

The board is expected to release the admit card on May 12, 2024. On the day of the D.El.Ed exam, candidates must bring their admit card. Candidates will not be permitted to take the exam unless they have an admit card. Furthermore, the board will release the D.El.Ed exam results in September 2024. Candidates will need their registration ID and password to access and view the results.

In order to be eligible for the Bihar D.El.Ed courses, aspirants must have a Class 12 grade point average of 50% (45% for reserved categories). Candidates with Sashtri, Polytechnic, or ITI qualifications are not eligible for DElEd admissions.

The Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) programme is developed primarily for in-service, teachers working in elementary/upper primary schools across the country. The Academic Department of NIOS created the programme on the initiative of the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India. The programme intends to help the target group develop skills, competencies, and understanding to improve teaching and learning.
