CA observers satisfied with facilities at Jaipur for second ODI
Australia will tour India to play seven ODIs and one-off T20 match, as Jaipur is scheduled to host the second ODI on October 16.

Jaipur: A three-member observer team of Cricket Australia (CA) on Sunday visited the Sawai Man Singh stadium here to review the preparation for the scheduled one-day match between Australia and India on October 16.

CA’s media manager Adam Fraser, Sean Carroll and Graham Manou visited the SMS stadium and inspected the arrangements for players, spectators and media.

Suru Nayak, Cricket Operations Manager BCCI and KK Sharma, Officiating Secretary of Rajasthan Cricket Association (RCA) accompanied them. Talking to the media at the RCA Academy, Sharma said the observers were satisfied with the facilities available here.

“Three members of CA including its media manager and security officials visited he stadium and practice facilities for inspection of the ground, player’s accommodation and security. They were satisfied with the arrangements and they also met the police officers to discuss the security arrangements,” Sharma said.

After the inspection of facilities, Fraser said: “Jaipur has hosted many international matches and the facilities at the stadium are top class and the wicket looks full of runs.”

Asked if there were any special arrangements in place for the forthcoming tour considering the recent spot-fixing cases during the IPL, Sean Carroll said that it was up to the ICC to do so.

“The ICC looks after such issues and we follow the guidelines given to all members,” said Carroll, who is CA’s Anti Corruption and Security Manager.
