Hyderabad: Woman Arrested For Falsely Trapping Former Lover in Drug Peddling Case

A woman from Telangana’s Hyderabad was arrested after she tried to falsely implicate her former lover in a case of illegal transportation of Ganja. The accused, allegedly hatched the conspiracy after she was unable to accept her former lover distancing himself from her for some time.

The police arrested the main accused, Rinki and six of her accomplices after she confessed to have doing so, during the interrogation.

Rinki, a resident of Rahmath Nagar, was an employee at a finance company at Ameerpet. She and her former lover, Shravan who worked at the same company as an accountant felll in love with each other at the workplace.

However, later Shravan started avoiding her and this led to Rinki to develop grudge against him, following which she decided to send him jail at any cost.

The accused, thereby hatched a conspiracy with her friends and purchased Ganja of 40 grams by paying Rs.4,000 at Mangalhat. Distributing it into five packets of with each of eight grams, she kept the packets with her. As a part of the conspiracy, Rinki’s friends make a phone call to Shravan and made him reach Ameerpet.

Later, Rinki along with her friends and Shravan went to a pub at Jubilee Hills and as all of them were enjoying at the pub, Rinki make a phone call to a police constable known informing him that a person called Shravan is selling the Ganja.  She also told the police that the packets of the same were there in a particular car.

On receiving the information, the police rushed to the spot and seized the Ganja packets found in the car. They took Shravan into custody, however he revealed  that he didn’t own the car and reached the pub in somebody else’s car.

The plan plotted by Rinki, however came to light after the police questioned everyone who reached the pub in the suspected car.
